1st Edition (1871-1872). In 4 Volumes. Bound by Roger De Coverley in white vellum stamped in gold. Dust soiling to boards of all four volumes. Foxing to beginning and end pages of each volume. Errata slip bound into volume 1. Slight bowing to boards. These were Percy Scawen Wyndham's copies with his book plate to the front paste down in each volume. Wyndham a Conservative MP for Cumberland West was a founding member of The Souls along with Arthur Balfour and others. Uncommon with a wonderful history.
