In the publishers " History Workshop " series, this focusses on pit life in Co Durham, slate quarrying in North Wales and saltworkers in Cheshire, studying both working conditions and practices as well as the domestic and social history of the workers. Dustwrapper very clean but top edge a bit worn in places, including the head of spine where there are some small worn splits.Contents very clean and crisp. Fine in VG dustwrapper.
