Miniature cookbook. Measuring approximately 2¼" x 2½". [12]pp. Fine in stapled self-wrappers. Prints recipes for escargot "Mendocino," "Marin," "Sonoma," and "Napa Valley." According to a 1987 article in the *Los Angeles Times*, at the time most imported escargot was made from chopped-up pieces of the large African snail (described by the owner of Enfant Riant using a very unflattering term), while the species preferred by the French, Helix Asperia, had been imported to California by by French and Italian immigrants a hundred years earlier, and was thriving. An interesting little piece of culinary ephemera.
