Minnesota and its Resources to which are appended Camp-Fire Sketches or Notes of a Trip from St. Paul to Pembina and Selkirk Settlement on the Red River of the North - J. Wesley Bond First Edition, Redfield, New York 1853 First Edition with folding map of Minnesota Territory at rear and frontis. illustration of St. Paul, variant title page dated 1853 lacking the illustration of St. Anthony Falls, and no publisher's catalog at rear. I'm not aware of any priority on these issue points. With bookplate of the notable English fraudster Ernest Terah Hooley Rebound in contemporary, gilt lettered, blind tooled, green half morocco, maroon floral decorative cloth to boards with matching endpapers, 8vo, pp. [2], 364, 3, [3] + frontis.; Very good, two bookplates and a price sticker to front pastedown and free endpaper, bookseller ticket of H. Sotheran & Co. to rear pastedown, moderate rubbing to boards, bumped, rear head corner, paper splitting at board ends, leather splitting at fore-edge corners, former collector or bookseller description taped to front fly, damp stain to tail of frontis., light foxing and soil to text, map is in excellent condition with one short tear to edge, and some negligible splitting at fold ends [Sabin 6284].…
