Light wear and scuffing; brief exposure to corners; small stain to center of spine. Binding sound. Inscribed, presumably by Piller, "Dal Compilatore in atto del suo ossequis, e per averne memoria. 15 Maggio 1817," facing title page. Touch of spotting to interior, else unmarked and legible throughout. Scarce compilation of Italian prose and poetry, with brief biographies of many, as well as an extract from Dante's Inferno. Ends with a sonnet dedicated to Moscow and Alexander I. No copies in retail and two found in OCLC, at the University of Notre Dame and Tilburg University. Seller Inventory # 30750
