A very scarce collection complete in two volumes of Ebenezer Picken's collection of miscellaneous poems and song. The first 1813 edition. A complete collection in two volume containing a miscellany of Scottish poems and songs, partly in the Scottish dialect and with an extensive glossary to the rear of volume two.Some of the titles included are 'Falsehood, a Pastoral,' 'Verses on a Caravan to go any Where,' 'Song, Long long did did gentle Peace reside,' The Answer,' and many others.A very scarce first edition of 1813. In the original publisher's paper covered boards.Two internally excellent volumes. A rare survival and in the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally sound with some shelf wear and a minor edge wear, with some bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The spine is slightly creased vertically, as usual, with a minor cracking to the front joint of volume one. With a faint minor damp marking to the front board of volume two. The label to the spine of both volume is slightly chipped and faded. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Good.
