Very good first edition book in very good dust jacket. Illustrated with photographs of early photography techniques. Light blue cloth covered boards with gold text on front panel and spine. Board spine is faded but text is legible. Head and tail of board spine are creased with rubs at corners and tips of creases. Book is internally clean and tight. Dust jacket has shelf-wear scuffs and soil. Spine is faded with several small light oval stains. Head of jacket spine has a 1 1/4" closed vertical tear along the front corner fold and a 5/8" closed vertical tear along the back corner fold; both with adjacent creases and old tape repairs on the back side. Loss of 1" by up to 1/4" across top edge of spine, lower edge of spine has small chips and rubs. Fore-edge folds are rubbed with some loss on fore-edge corners. Upper front right fore-edge corner has loss of 1/4" by 3/8". Lower back left fore-edge corner has 1 1/8" closed tear along the fold with adjacent diagonal creases and old tape repair on reverse. Front panel has 3/8" closed vertical tear on upper edge and 1/4" closed vertical tear on lower edge. Back jacket panel has a 1/4" and a 1/8" closed vertical tear along the upper edges.
