First edition book in good dust jacket. Illustrated with photographs of early photography techniques. Light blue cloth covered boards with gold text on front panel and spine. Board spine is faded but text is legible. Head and tail of board spine are creased with rubs at corners and tips of creases. Book is internally clean and tight. Nice sepia tone glossy frontis of a totally nude model. 262 pages with many photographs and drawings. Previous owner's name written neatly on the ffep. Dust jacket has shelf-wear scuffs and soiling. Front panel is decent with some minor soiling and edge wear. The spine has a 1" horizontal sticker scar and light chipping to the head and heel. The fore edge folds are rubbed with some loss on fore-edge corners. The rear panel of the jacket has minor soiling and a tiny tear at the top. The flaps are not clipped. A nice copy of a very scarce 1st edition.
