I have a lot of railroad related books currently listed but I have realized that the man from whose estate most of those books came, was also into model railroading. I am going to list some of those to see if they generate the interest that accrues with railroad books. Please find: Model Railways-Their Design, Details and Practical Construction by Henry Greenly. This small hard cover book (5 ¾ x 8 ¼ inches, 312 pages) was published by Cassell and Company Ltd of London, New York, Toronto and Melbourne, dated 1924 and I believe the First Edition. The book is bound in tan boards with embossed framing on the cover and an embossed scene and gilt titles. The book is very well illustrated with 399 photographs, diagrams and working drawings. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers are clean and bright with some bumping to the corners and a small chip out of the top of the spine. Inside, a former owner has left his neat bookplate on the front endpaper but that is the only mark I found in the book whose pages are clean and bright and also devoid of toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
