This is a rare Modern Library first in dust jacket. Bound in brown imitation leather (spine #2), the book is in NEAR FINE condition with virtually no external wear and NO yellowing to pages. Brodzky endpapers. Solid binding with small seam at title page, very bright gilt, beautiful red topstain. APPEARS UNREAD! At the end of the book the list of titles is preceded by a blurb indicating the Modern Library is two years old and includes titles from fall 1919. The dust jacket is NEAR FINE with 2 small chips on the spine and at the corner otherwise AMAZINGLY BRIGHT AND CLEAN. The list of titles on the flaps and rear panel includes those from 1919, but not 1920. Note that the title on the DJ says "Criticisms," not "Criticism." This error was repeated in subsequent printings and not corrected until the balloon cloth era. Now protected in an archival-quality dust jacket protector.
