A lovely copy of this second study of book production and typography (a follow up to The Art of the Book) published by The Studio, and in very good condition for its age, over 90 years old. No Dust Jacket (as issued), Cover: quarter cream coloured leather over pink patterned paper covered boards, 5 raised bands and pink lettering to spine and front; in very good condition for its age; bright and clean; some bumping and rubbing to all edges, especially corners, with slight loss, all commensurate with age and use. Internally: very clean and tightly bound; some yellowing to pages which may have been off-white from outset; small, very discreet book plate from previous owner to front paste-down; page 93 has tipped in bright pink design for dust wrapper which has bled on to facing page 92. Page 93 is the only single sheet in the book and it is slightly loose, all the rest are folds and secure. viii, 40 pp. text and 146 pp, illustration in colour and black and white, some of which are tipped in items, Generally in very nice condition for its age. A large and heavy book which may incur increased postage charges.
