First Illustrated Edition de Luxe hardback set in three volumes, 1950, with original unclipped jackets. In overall good used condition with minor signs of handling and storage - jackets chipped and rubbed to edges, volume 1 has a light cup ring to front; embossed green faux-leather boards, with gilt titles, generally very good. Bindings tight and appear little read, no annotations or inscriptions; light scattered foxing to prelims and page-ends but text and illustrations clean and clear throughout. This set weighs over 1kg. Not old library books. Photographs available.
