Hardback in dustwrapper. 25 � 17cm, 277pp. "This book provides a comprehensive survey of all matters, both technical and legal, affecting the planning and construction of housing estates, the creation of neighbourhood units and development of satellite towns on garden city principles. The author, a civil engineer and surveyor by profession, is an expert of many years' standing on the subject. His book is addressed principally to Housing Committees and their officers, as well as to architects, surveyors and town planners. It is also hoped that it will also be found useful to students preparing for the professional examinations relating to Town Planning. The very numerous illustrations include drawings, plans, photographs, and folding plates prepared by the Local Authorities and architects". Condition: The book is in very good condition, with some curving to the boards due to the number of folding diagrams. The dustwrapper is a scarce survival and is in good order.
