The Modern Part of an Universal History, from the Earliest Accounts to the Present Time. Compiled from Original Authors. Volumes X and XI

Two volumes bound in publishers coarse cloth-covered boards with paper spine labels, somewhat soiled and rubbed, spine labels barely legible; 476 and 472 pages, edges untrimmed, binding reasonably tight, moderate foxing throughout, some mild dampstaining, some dustiness; These 2 volumes contain History of the Othman Empire and Dispersion of the Jews, and the History of Africa, Egypt, and the African Isslands; remainder paper from older publications used as pastedowns, late 18th century book label of "John Harry, of M. Hagerstown" on each front pastedown. NOTE: If you are not familiar with this Universal History, please note that the text was written continuously as Chapters of different subjects, but the volumes were delineated so as to be of approximately the same length [number of pages]. Thus the history of a particular region my overlap into other volumes, either at the beginning or at the end.
