1923. First Edition. 369 pages. Brown jacket (priced 10 shillings net to spine) over green cloth with gilt titles to spine. 2 pages of publisher's adverts to rear. In-text graphs and charts throughout. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Slight gutter cracking. Binding is firm. Foxing and tanning more noticeable towards start and end of book and on text block edges. Previous owner's pen and pencil inscriptions to front endpaper. Text block edges are a little tanned and foxed with minor scratches and smudges; upper edge intensely tanned. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Upper front corner slightly creased. Subtle spine creases too. Boards are slightly bowed. Book has slight forward lean. Gilt bright. Unclipped jacket has some edgewear with chips, tears and creasing. Small loss to spine ends. Jacket is a touch rubbed and marked overall, more so to spine.
