4to., 8 Volumes, Stapled Wraps. Sharp serialization of H.G. Wells' masterpiece of science fiction. Appearing over 8 consecutive issues between November, 1900 and June, 1901. These are Volumes XXX, No.1 through Volume XXXI, No. 2. Originally published in The Strand magazine in the UK beginning a few months earlier in 1900. All issues are square, tight and clean throughout with generally quite mild page toning. Staples holding firm though some have some rusting. Some tiny nicks and creases in the untrimmed edges. Some tears with loss of paper to spines in a couple of issues and some, May, March are have darker covers and March, has small chip to the front cover by the heel and a small tape mend there. February, April brighter with less wear. Overall a solid Very Good set and uncommon to find the whole set together in any condition. A very pretty collectable set and at a great price.
