New York: Viking Press, 1942. First Edition . Very Good+/Very Good. First Edition, with "First Published in March 1942" on copyright page, no additional printings, and no printer statement on copyright page. Second state, where errant period has been corrected between 'talk' and 'this' on page 112, line 11. Book is very clean with unfaded blue cloth, bright silver lettering on spine. No bumping or wear. Binding is tight, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with tasteful previous owner bookplate on front pastedown. 188 pages. In second state dust jacket that has been price clipped (tiny piece of dollar sign showing). Illustrated jacket is clean with very slight age-toning, some edge nicks and corner wear, short closed edge tears. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Seller Inventory # 026971
