The Moon Looks Down

'During the years 1941-1945 Kenneth and Frances McCall were imprisoned by the Japanese with their baby daughter. During these years, Kenneth, who had learned his skills from a badly wounded Chinese guerrilla, kept a record of their lives in drawings done with brush and ink. With his wife's commentary this unique and inspiring personal record documents their gruelling experiences in the Japanese internment camps and tells the story of a well-organised and contented community with faith in the future which emerged against this backdrop of squalor and hardship.'.
