First edition. Small broadsheet program. 5.5" x 8.5". About fine with a very faint underline. Program for Hughes' lecture on "Color Around the World." at the Frederick A. Douglass High School auditorium. The Moreland Branch of the Y.M.C.A. was for decades one of the focal points of African-American life in Dallas, serving both as a performance venue and as a temporary residence for visiting black dignitaries, including Hughes classmate and fraternity brother Thurgood Marshall, who were not welcome in the segregated Dallas hotels.
