This is a solid but not very attractive copy of the original edition (***NOT*** a P.O.D.) of the first volume of the series "Monographs on General Agricultural and Industrial Microbiology." The binding is firm, hinges intact. No marks to text. However, there is considerable damp-staining to the cloth (no odor), especially on the back cover. Name in ink and some pencil marks on the front pastedown. A little wear to extremities. Mild sunning to pages and endpapers. Discoloration top edge. A few spots here and there.
