1. A 'History of the United Netherlands: From the death of William the Silent to the Twelve Years' Truce, 1609', complete in four volumes, with a frontispiece to each volume. Volume I covers from 1584-86, Volume II 1586-89, Volume III 1590-1600 and Volume IV 1600-09. Volume I, II and III first editions, 1860. Volume IV first edition, 1867.

2. 'The Rise of the Dutch Republic: A History', (1855), first edition, complete in three volumes. Frontispiece in Vol. I.

3. 'The Life and Death of John of Barneveld, in two volumes, first edition 1874. With Frontispiece in Vol. I. Barneveld was an advocate of Holland; with a view of the primary causes and movements of the Thirty Years' War'.

Half calf leather with marbled boards. Guilt top edges. All bindings tight. Slight edge wear. Pages slightly tanned with age, very slight foxing on end papers, otherwise pages are clear with no markings. Solid.
