Mouse Paint: A Charming Picture Book About Color Mixing and Discovery for Children (Ages 0-3)

Three little mice dive into three jars of paint for a playful splash through bright puddles.

Perfect for fans of Lois Ehlert and Press Here, this charming picture book gently explores the world of color and celebrates the joy of creativity. On a white piece of paper, the three mice stay hidden because the sleeping cat cannot find them.

One day three white mice discover three jars of paint--red, blue, and yellow. Thinking the jars are Mouse Paint, they climb right inside until each mouse turns a bright new color.

But what happens when they splash in the colors, mixing the red and blue? Or dance in the blue and yellow?

When the blue mouse jumps into a red puddle, splashing and twirling turn the paint into rich purple. Watching green and purple emerge from simple splashes will delight any toddler eager to experiment. This playful introduction to colors will appeal to any budding artist or curious preschooler.

• Preschool Learning: Simple, rhythmic storytelling introduces foundational concepts of secondary hues through hands-on puddle dancing and bright discoveries.
