About this Item
First edition. Spotting on the boards, some overall light foxing, very good in spine-toned, near very good dust jacket with several internal repairs. Isherwood lived in Berlin from 1929 to 1933 - his observations on the decay of the Weimar Republic and the rise of Nazism form the basis for this title, which was later combined with *Goodbye to Berlin* as *The Berlin Stories*, the latter ultimately becoming the musical and subsequent film *Cabaret*.
