A smart first edition of this very scarce cookery book full of helpful and simple recipes from British cook Dora Rea. First edition. Very scarce work. A collection of over four hundred simple and delicious recipes for the contemporary housewife, being a selection of the recipes that the author herself found most helpful during her twenty years of cookery teaching. With examples from mock turtle soup, stuffed steak, and orange tartlets, to damson wine and raspberry vinegar. Written by Dora Rea, a British food writer. With publisher's advertisements to the front and rear of the text. In the original card wraps. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities. Light sunning to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. The previous owner's bookplate to the front endpaper. Very Good.
