1926. First Edition. 312 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Blue cloth with gilt lettering. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, with creased corners and foxing. Page 301-308 are detached. Pencil notes to rear pastedown. Hinges and guttering are cracked. Binding is loose. Small edge tear to one page not affecting the text. Many dog-eared corners. Small brown stain to pp180-181. Boards have been moderately rub worn. Heavy shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are bumped and frayed with visible board. Spine ends are crushed, with noticeable splits and chips. Heavy splits to spine joints. Boards are bowed.
