Grand Larousse du XIXe siecle 718. - Die ersten 12 Jahrgänge der interessanten französischen Unterhaltungs-Zeitschrift. - Fonde en 1833 par Girardin, Boutmy et Cleeman, le Musee des Familles se proposait de devenir l'encyclopedie des gens du monde, de la jeunesse et des femmes et benaficia de contributions des plus grands ecrivains de l'epoque dont Balzac, Dumas, Gautier, Hugo, Scribe etc. - Außerdem enthält die Zeitschrift interessante Artikel über Phrenologie, Lithographie, Projektions-Aparate (Laterna magica), Taucher, Physiotypie, die Exhumation Napoleons, Daguerreotypie u.v.m. - Es erschien auch eine deutsche Ausgabe mit dem Titel: "Sonntags-Magazin, Familien-Museum zur Verbreitung gemeinnütziger Kenntnisse" (Leipzig, Allgemeine Niederländische Buchhandlung 1833 ff.). - Einbände etwas berieben, ein Blatt (S. 9/10) in Jahrgang 1840 unten mit Abriß (geringer Textverlust), nur vereinzelt etwas braunfleckig und stellenweise gebräunt, sehr schönes dekorativ gebundenes Exemplar.
