Corners exposed. Joints cracking at head and tail. Red page edges. Green ribbon page marker, Marbled end papers. Hinges intact. Tab XXII and XXVI toned, all else exceptionally clean, bright, and tight throughout with minimal foxing. Ffep, blank, title, A-X^4, Y^2, blank, rfep. Ffep, blank, title, 171, (1), blank, rfep. 38 plates: 29 numbered, 1-9 with duplicate outline engravings. Tab XIV folding. Pierre Tarin (1725 1761). The work contains engraved copies of Albinus plates (as does his Osteographe also of 1753). He also published in 1750 the first pictorial history of neuroanatomy (see G-M 6950).
