Rare book in Near Fine condition. Red boards with crisp black titling on front and spine along with stamped black border ruling on front. First Edition of this classic Golden Age "riddle mystery", published in two parts, the first, The Mysterious Card and the second, The Mysterious Card Unveiled. The paper seal is still bound into the book and was meant to fold into the book and was sealed with glue so that one had to unbreak it after reading the first story or if one wanted to solve the mystery. The first title is probably the most famous riddle story, and the second title is the author's attempt to provide an answer, widely regarded as an unsuccessful effort.
