Interestingly, there is the Charles Dellschau story and flying ships from Sonora from this period carried out by German immigrants in secret. Dellschau's amazing colorful and "steampunk" like illustrations of flying machines that were discovered and saved from the trash about 1970. 34 pages. Insured post.
