Reddish image of horse with rider on front. Binding secure but slightly loose. Slight forward lean. Sunned, wrinkled spine with worn and frayed head and tail. Bumped and scuffed corners. Flap of dust jacket trimmed and pasted neatly to rear end paper. Cracked hinge on last page strengthened with archival tape. 270 age-tanned and foxed pages. Considering its age and apparent popular readership, it is in remarkable good condition. Uncommon as hardcover.
