First Edition, 1929, printed in Salem, Oregon, publisher's green cloth with bright gilt title to front board and spine, tight and square with sharp corners, one corner bumped. Book is Very Good Plus or Better, previous owner address label on ffep near the presentation inscription, Fine, just a trace of wear, 477 pages, portrait of author frontispiece. Concise history of explorers of the Pacific Northwest and beyond: Cook, Drake, de Gama, Magellan, Gray, Astor, McKenzie and more, Chapter about the white formation of Alaska, appendix. Jacket is Very Good Plus or Better, red paper with black title and author on front panel and spine. Scare in this condition.
