FIRST EDITION 1789, three Parts in two volumes. 8vo, approximately 220 x 130 mm, 8½ x 5 inches, lacks half-title in Volume 1, not called for in Volume 2, pages: Volume 1: [lxii], [1], 1-450 followed by Errata; Volume 2: [3], 4-531, followed by Errata and iv pages of Contents, bound in quarter calf over marbled boards, gilt lettered labels to spine, gilt volume numbers and gilt rules between raised bands on spines, early old Worcester library bookplate dated 1790 to the first pastedown of each volume. Spine faded with some small dark stains, shelf wear to edges of boards, blind library stamp to title page, following leaf and last 2 leaves of both volumes, hardly noticeable, pale age-browning and light foxing throughout, pastedowns and free endpapers foxed, a few other minor marks.
