About this Item
Pulp novel about a cigarette girl in a hot spot called the Flaming Night who abandons her ambitions and embraces debauchery after her steady boyfriend discovers she spent the night with another man. "And as double insurance against getting burned, she developed an asbestos heart and a boudoir acquaintance with visiting firemen." Remarkably prolific, Neubauer is said to have written and sold 240 manuscripts from 1944 to 1967. Octavo: 255 p. Original green leatherette binding, with light green titles. Light wear to the corners and tips. The dust jacket is somewhat edgeworn, with a bit of rubbing to the front panel; otherwise very good. Seller Inventory # 77683
