- Small quarto [approximately 7 inches high by 5-1/4 inches wide], tan boards streaked in dark brown with a device stamped in gilt on the front cover. Gilt endpapers. The spine is a bit faded & the top corners are slightly bumped. 322 & [1] pages plus colophon. Profusely illustrated in color and black & white with images of medieval builders printed in black on the gilt endpapers. The slipcase is lacking. Very good. First edition.A beautifully illustrated book on the domestic and sacred architecture of northern Russia. Translated from the Russian by Kathleen Cook.
