Small [5 x 7 1/2 inches], light blue cloth binding with black leather labels, 154 pages plus blank pages bound at the end on which are laid news pictures of ships and newspaper accounts of ships; 8 more pictures are interspersed within the text near the pages where that ship is discussed. This book was printed as a paper back and rebound by Benton and Treves. There is a book plate of the Thomas Paine expert Arthur Outram Sherman on the inside front board.

A shop with about 2000 very select books located in an 1854 Victorian house in a hamlet of East Springfield [63 people, about 3000 cows.]in Upstate New York about 60 miles west of Albany and 300 feet north of US Route 20 on County Route 31. Springfield Center is the village mailing address and is about 4 miles west and south of East Springfields on Route 80 . I have a large selection of book about New York State, also rare Americana and military books, Europe, Asia plus some rare legal and scientific pieces. I am usually around but you might want to call ahead.
