FIRST EDITION 1778. 8vo, approximately 190 x 110 mm, 7½ x 4¼ inches, 14 folding copper engraved plates, engraved coat of arms to head of Dedication page, pages: xxii, 23-181, [1], plate list on last page, bound in half polished calf, gilt lettering and floral decoration to spine, marbled boards, cream endpapers, silk bookmark. Untrimmed copy so some page edges slightly ragged and dusty, title page has small paper fault to lower outer corner, several pages have a narrow strip of pale browning to outer edge, text and plates clean apart from the extreme edges, a very good attractive copy.
