About the Author

William Berger contributes to NPR's "Performance Today" and "At the Opera." He is the author of Wagner Without Fear and Verdi with a Vengeance. He provided the baroque Italian libretto for the imaginary opera within an opera in The Dracula Diaries and has written a full length libretto which is currently being set by composer Patrick Burns. He also lectures extensively on opera.
