xiv, 222p., illustrated in b&w with numerous period images and an 18thC plat map; first American edition in grey cloth boards gilt and dust jacket. Book itself shows faint handling grime and edgewear, but is a good copy, generally sound and entirely clean and unmarked within. The dj is quite worn and soiled.
