Extremely faded at right side and bottom, this is a fair copy of one of the most popular and attractive maps of the first half of the 19th century. It shows to just past the Mississippi River, with Iowa depicted as extending up into current Minnesota and Dakota. The inset maps around the main map are of the vicinities of the major cities in the country. The fading on this might might well be alleviated by restoration.
