First Edition. 111 pp. Original cloth. Top and bottom of spine ever so slightly rubbed, else Very Good+. Signature on half-title (Blanchard, dated 1880). "In 1881 Gray delivered a series of lectures at Yale Divinity School which were published as Natural Science and Religion. Their failure to cause a stir is a measure of the accomodation reached by that time between Darwinism and American Protestantism" (A. Hunter Dupree in D.S.B. 5: 513).
