Moderate wear; boards a bit rubbed and edgeworn; scuffing to the leather; text block edges toned; foxing to the preliminaries and light scattered foxing throughout; offset to the plates and guards; an incised inscription to the flyleaf of the second volume. The Ornithology set comprise 14 volumes; the Mammalia series, 13 volumes; Ichthyology runs to six volumes, and Entomology seven volumes. The first two volumes in the collection were the most popular and focussed on the Hummingbird species.
