First edition 1928. Profusely illustrated throughout with colour and black and white plates. Very good clean copy. Top edges gilt. In the publishers deluxe binding of quarter vellum with grey cloth sides. The vellum is decorated with blue and gilt lines. The spine is very slightly foxed. The bottom corners are slightly rubbed and frayed. Generally a very good clean, bright copy. The vellum backed publishers binding is much superior to the cloth bound version, holding together well owing to the extreme weight of the book.
