Each of these chapters includes the vegetable varieties and production technology of respective crops. About the Author

D K Singh, has developed ten varieties of cucurbits including three hybrids, successfully completed four research projects and currently handling six projects funded by various funding agencies. He has also introduced polyhouse tomato breeding programme first time in India and has developed three purelines and one F hybrid. He has guided eight MSc (Ag) and four PhD students. He has also established vegetable research centre and molecular and seed technology lab. The author is a member of several professional societies and alumnus of Salom Society of lsrael. He has visited countries like Ethiopia, lsrael and Thialand. He has also held administrative position like Assistant Director Horticulture Research Center and Assistant Director Vegetable Research Center. Dr. Singh has also registered a segmented leaf genotype of bottle gound PBOG54 with NBPGR, New Delhi.
