A New Course Of Plants And Animals. Books 1 and 2 by MA Grigg. Both are first editions, first impressions and Inspection Copies. Small Octavo. Book 1 - 216pp, Book 2 - 232pp. Both books include numerous illustrations. Both of these books have been stamped as an 'Inspection Copy' - so presumably they are proof copies. Book 1: This book is in good condition. The covers are in good condition, with several small drop stains to the front board and an ink mark to the rear board. The front board top corner has been bumped, as has the rear board top corner. The front and rear boards are slightly tanned. The spine is bumped to each end and tanned. The front free end paper has some rubbed out pencil marks (old price marks). The pages are tanned with age, particularly to the page edges. The page edges throughout are lightly foxed. Pages 179 to 182 (2 leaves) have the bottom corner previously folded, leaving a crease mark. The title page has a red ink stamp marked 'Inspection Copy' added. There is no dust jacket with this issue. Book 2: This book is in good condition. The covers are in good condition, with several foxing marks to the front board and an ink mark to the rear board. There is also an old stain to the rear board where a cup has been placed on it. The front and rear boards are slightly tanned. The spine is slightly bumped to each end and tanned. The front free end paper has some rubbed out pencil marks (old price marks). The pages are tanned with age, particularly to the page edges. The page edges throughout are lightly foxed. The title page has a red ink stamp marked 'Inspection Copy' added. There is no dust jacket with this issue.
