The New Exodus is a study of Jewish persecution and diaspora in Russia, including index and appendices. A journalist, photographer and well-established novelist with a very checkered life, including numerous affairs and two concurrent families, Frederic was the author of his bestselling novel The Damnation of Theron Ware (1896), which is listed in David Madden's "Rediscoveries." This first edition copy of The New Exodus is in Very Good- condition, bound in original green cloth with gilt stamping on front cover and spine, with separation of binding at front and back. It has 8 photos; the 9th listed illustration, the frontispiece, is missing, even though the binding shows no hint of a missing page.
