[SCIENCE]. Eds. Philippe Blanchard, Joao-Paulo Dias, Joachim Stubbe. "New Methods and Results in Non-Linear Field Equations (Lecture Notes in Physics 347)." Berlin: Springer-Verlag. Printed by Druckhaus Beltz in Germany, 1987. First edition. English language. Hardcover with orange and brown cloth boards. Nonfiction collection of nine academic articles in physics with introduction and publisher's ads at rear. 9 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches. 13 oz. viii, 136 pp. Abrasions on back board. Light toning. Text clean. Very Good. ISBN: 3540519777. "Quantum effects may be modelled by means of stochastic perturbation of non-linear partial differential field equations. Contributions to this field of research are collected in this volume. Finite dimensional stochastically perturbed Hamiltonian systems and infinite dimensional white noise analysis are treated. The main part concerns problems encountered in deterministic equations. Papers treat the existence of solutions for given initial data, the existence of non-linear bound states or solitary waves including a thorough discussion of various approaches to stability, and global properties (e.g. time decay properties) for non-linear wave equations. This volume provides a good survey of present-day research in non-linear problems of quantum theory for researchers and graduate students.".…

I sell uncommon art catalogs, academic monographs, and prints, as well as rare ephemera such as posters and zines. I ship from Brooklyn, New York. I am an alum of the Rare Book School and the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar, as well as Indiana University and the Ohio State University. I started in the trade at the Wexner Center for the Arts bookstore, and I have previously worked for the Columbus Metropolitan Library, the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago's Department of Prints and Drawings, and the Indiana University Art Museum's center for Prints, Drawings, and Photographs. More recently, I was the rare book cataloger at Donald Heald Rare Books, for whom I worked the ABAA's New York International Antiquarian Book Fair.…
