First Edition (stated with no additional printings indicated), 6 x 9 inches, 223 pp. Bound in green cloth with blue titles; covers are clean with strong binding. Endpapers have pencil notes from a previous bookseller, noting that the previous owner was James Laughlin, an American poet and literary book publisher who founded New Directions Publishing (see images). Original contributions by new writers, including Christopher Isherwood, subsequently formed part of his Berlin Stories. Pages are clean, no names or other markings, not Ex-Library, and light edge toning on page edges. Unclipped DJ is edgeworn with small chips and lightly darkened edges, protected in a new Brodart archival mylar jacket. Book and DJ condition: Very Good. Books are shipped quickly and securely packed in a new box.
