Auden, Stephen Spender, George Orwell ("Shooting an Elephant" in no. 2); stories by Christopher Isherwood subsequently forming part of his Berlin Stories; Bertolt Brecht, "Concerning the label Emigrant", translated by Stephen Spender; works in translation by Boris Pasternak and Vasili Grossman, and more These first five volumes are the complete first series; a new series began with the Autumn 1938 number, and the title then changed to Folios of New Writing.
