Very scarce. Oversized in illustrated glossy softcovers. 253 pp. Illustrated throughout with vintage photographs and hand-drawn maps. Fine, fresh, unuaed example. The history of the Newark, New Jersey city subway system. Construction began a month after the 1929 stock market crash with the first test run conducted in 1934; it opened to the public in May, 1935. It was essentially an above-ground trolley system. The line expanded over the years, eventually connecting with Paterson and Jersey City. Seller Inventory # E21764x
