A first edition of 'Night Frost' the third novel in his popular series by R. D. Wingfield featuring Detective Inspector Jack Frost, in unclipped dustwrapper. A serial killer is terrorising the senior citizens of Denton, and the local police are succumbing to a flu epidemic. Tired and demoralised, the force has to contend with a seemingly perfect young couple suffering arson attacks and death threats, a suspicious suicide, burglaries, pornographic videos, poison-pen letters. In a cloth binding with unclipped dustwrapper in protective brodart wrap. Externally, smart. Minor wear to extremities, slight rubbing and marks. Dustwrapper is in excellent condition but with slight edgewear and an institutional label to spine. Front hinge very slightly strained. Internally, firmly bound. Pages areenerally bright and clean throughout but with the odd mark and with institutional labels and stamps to front free endpaper and ink annotations to verso of title. Very Good.
